A transparent look at how real Reddit users help each other grow — and why the extension approach keeps every account safe.
From sign-up to receiving engagement on your posts.
Sign up with your email and connect your Reddit account during onboarding. Verification confirms you are a real Reddit user — this is what makes every engagement trustworthy.
Download the UpTribe extension for Chrome or Firefox. The extension is what enables you to earn credits by completing tasks — and it is the key to why UpTribe stays safe for your Reddit account.
Open the extension on any Reddit page to see available tasks nearby — upvotes, downvotes, or comment replies posted by other community members.
Navigate to the target Reddit post or comment naturally in your browser. Once you perform the action, the extension detects it and releases your credit reward.
Use your earned credits to create tasks for your own Reddit posts. Set a bid per completion and the community takes over — no credit card, no bots.
Every other engagement service automates the votes. UpTribe does not — and that is the entire point. Here is exactly how the browser extension design keeps your account protected.
The extension cannot perform actions on your behalf. It only detects actions you take yourself — upvoting, downvoting, or replying — by observing the page after you interact with it. Reddit never sees bot-like automated behaviour because there is none.
To complete a task you must actually open the URL in your browser, scroll the page, and interact with Reddit as a normal user would. This natural browsing pattern looks identical to organic Reddit activity.
The extension only registers a completion after sufficient time-on-page and natural scroll distance — the same signals Reddit uses to identify genuine engagement. Instantly clicking and leaving does not count.
UpTribe never asks for your Reddit password or OAuth token. The extension works by reading page state only — no credentials are ever transmitted to UpTribe servers.
Each task is fulfilled by a different real user on their own device, from their own IP address, at a natural pace. There is no concurrent burst of votes from a single source that would trigger Reddit anti-spam filters.
Every worker must link a verified Reddit account with minimum account age and karma. Throwaway or bot accounts are screened out at registration, so the engagement comes from accounts that look — and are — legitimate.
The core principle: UpTribe surfaces real humans to Reddit, not bots.
Our extension is a coordinator, not an automator. Reddit sees normal users browsing normally — because that is exactly what is happening.
Credits are the currency of mutual help. Here is how they work.
Every new member starts with 100 free credits — enough to request 20 upvotes straight away, with no commitment required.
Complete tasks from the queue using the extension and receive credits equal to the task's bid per completion. The more you help, the more you earn.
During the launch period UpTribe takes no cut — 100% of a task's credit budget goes directly to the workers who complete it. Early adopters keep this rate permanently.
Direct credit purchases will be available in a future update for members who want to grow faster without waiting to accumulate earnings. Founding members who earn credits before this feature launches will always pay lower rates.
UpTribe is designed to work within the boundaries of organic, human-driven engagement. Every action on Reddit is performed manually by a real, verified user on their own account. We do not use bots, scripts, or automation. However, coordinated voting of any kind sits in a grey area of Reddit policy — we recommend using UpTribe responsibly and not concentrating large numbers of votes on a single post in a short period.
Because every action originates from a distinct human user on a unique device and IP address, browsing normally, the activity is indistinguishable from organic engagement. UpTribe does not interact with Reddit's API — actions happen entirely through the standard browser interface, the same way any user would interact with the site.
Completion speed depends on the number of active members currently online and the credit bid you set. Higher bids attract workers faster. Most tasks with competitive bids see their first completions within minutes during active hours.
Currently UpTribe supports upvotes, downvotes, and comment replies on any public Reddit post or comment. Additional task types are planned for future releases.
